Although this may somewhat reflect who I am, There is so much more than I can express on a web site. It is my desire to be centered and fully present all the time; to look into your eyes and see that spark of God within you. Always much easier to say than to do. My reach always seems to exceed my grasp. I am a successful business owner and Optician. I am interested in many different subjects and have many hobbies. I love passion, romance, and intelligent conversation (with a good wine thrown in for fun).

Crystals are very interesting in their growth and the development of their shape and pattern. You can always tell what the molecular shape of a crystal is by it's visible shape. In other words, the shape of the basic molecule determines the shape of the crystal itself. An excellent example is the Diamond. Carbon atoms are arranged in an eight-sided cube-like shape (two pyramids, base to base).

Here you can see the developing diamond's trigonal shape in miniature.

Here's a better view of the trigon shapes within the surface of a mature diamond.

So as you can see, the final shape of a crystal directly reflects the pattern the atoms are arranged in to form the basic molecule.
